Devi Reznik, MSW

Devi Reznik received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Boston University in 2005 and Masters of Arts in Social Work (MSW) from the University of Southern California in 2008. She is an Associate Member of the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers.

While in graduate school, Devi completed an internship at Jewish Family Services where she was working with an elderly immigrant population. Her job description and role gave her a strong foundation and skills to do a psycho-social assessment, counseling, case management skills, and service coordination as well as being an advocate. Devi learned to do care plans and was responsible for helping her clients’ access services to meet their medical, physical, and emotional needs. There were situations where Devi had to do crisis intervention in order to stabilize and resolve the problems of walk-in clients.

After graduation, Devi worked for three years as the Memory Program Coordinator for Belmont Village in Westwood. In that role, she managed the daily operations of the Alzheimer’s Unit, “The Neighborhood”, as well as the supplemental services and activities for residents with Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI), “Circle of Friends” program. Devi supervised the staff who provided care to these residents. She designed the activities seven days a week and supervised the activity leaders who facilitated the various programs. In addition, Devi was responsible for the scheduling of the staff in both programs. She also was involved in the interviewing and hiring of potential staff and then the supervision of them. It was Devi who was instrumental in helping new residents with adjustment to their new surroundings as well as offering emotional and educational support to family members.

All of the above have made Devi a perfect fit for ElderCareLA.
